The long awaited replacement CD players are yet to be put into use, after training and trials. Apparently there were some issues which need to be fixed before we move to the new 21st Century players.
However SNAFU with the old players. The presenter before me had a CD which was not playing satisfactorily, so he had to substitute another work. Towards the end of my program it proved that my Cal Tjader CD was not going to play. In fact the player refused to initialise the CD even though it was a commercial release and brand new. So I had to substitute two tracks from an alternative Dave Brubeck with Cal TJader CD I happened to be carrying.
Apart from one other operator error everything went pretty much to plan and I even managed to play all of the last track before going to DRS for “Sounds Classical”.
